Adam DeRito is probably the saltiest of all salt dogs. Air Force Academy, Marine Corps OCS, and now a paratroop in the Colorado National Guard. He’s been fighting his case for YEARS now after being retaliated against for exposing the problem of sexual assault for over 30 people, including sports members. He lost his commission just days of getting it. So we felt his story needed to be shared more. Look up Operation Grid Iron and you’ll see what I mean. He was and is doing the d*mn thing!

Operation Grid Iron was a covert investigation that targeted Division I football players and prospective players at the U.S. Airfare Academy between 2008-2012. The Air Force's Office of Special Investigations used cadets as confidential sources, who were recruited via questionable means, to gather intelligence for this operation. One of those cadets was Adam Derito. Adam's lifelong dream was to be a fighter pilot. He thought he was doing the right thing by doing what was asked of him from his OSI handlers. But he'd eventually find out that his participation in this operation would prevent him from not only achieving that dream, but prevent him from graduating the academy all together.
